Samantha's Stars premiered in Plainfield, NH on October 23, 2008 in celebration
of the 25th anniversary year of Samantha Smith's visit to the Soviet Union.

                                                              
                                                                Violet B. Henderson, played                                       
                                                                 by Laine Gillespie, tells Samantha and                    
                                                                 her classmates about the evils of the

Produced and directed by Greg Marshall, the play featured original music by
pianist Lyle Michaud and accordionist Sharon Merchant.

Samantha's Stars is a play about the fear, courage, creativity and compassion of
a school girl from the state of Maine.

Samantha's worst fears and beautiful dreams are realized in the tension of the
Cold War stand-off between the United States and the Soviet Union.
